![]() CMS (Joomla, TYPO3, Drupal) is a system of control of the contents of a site. In other words, it is a "engine" - the set of programs established on a server that are intended to simplify the creation, the management and the publication of the contents of a site. There are several publications explaining the concept of CMS in a more detailed way, describing an "ideal" system of control of the contents and powerful analytical reviews on paid and free versions of such systems. Mambo is the system with an open initial code. Joomla!, translated from Arabic, means "everything together". But there is also more precise meaning in the literate Arabic, which it "together". In the business world, they say "Joomla" when they want to define wholesale trade. Joomla! is created from CMS Open Source Mambo in August 2005 after several disagreements among the developpers of Open Source with the owner of the name "Mambo". In the contest of 2008 of the best CMS, Joomla! became the second in the category Overall Winner Open Source CMS Award (after Drupal) and the second in the category Best PHP Open Source Content Management System (after Drupal).
